The Victorian No-Till Farmers association has recently been offered funding to further develop the mentoring idea and deliver the program throughout Victoria. The VNTFA is offering places to Victorian grain farmers who feel they would benefit from some intensive mentoring from a more experienced No-Till farmer. Approximately 8 mentee places are being funded for 2010 and 12 mentees in 2011. This is a great opportunity to spend some quality time working through some of the issues you may be having in the development process of your No-Till system. It is also a great chance to find out how the mentor has developed his system and what parts of this might be useful for your farm.
What if you could shortcut the steps in developing your system by learning from others mistakes?
Could it potentially save you time and money?
Could it get you a result more quickly?
Interested farmers need to contact the VNTFA office or their local committee member for an application form and more details. Limited places are available and there is no cost to you.
